A leading mechanical services contractor specializing in commercial HVAC, plumbing, piping, and building systems maintenance is seeking an HVAC Account Manager to support continued growth within its service and retrofit division. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving service agreement and retrofit sales within a designated territory. The successful candidate will work closely with building owners, facility managers, and decision‑makers to identify opportunities and deliver tailored mechanical solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified service, maintenance, and retrofit opportunities to support ongoing business growth.
- Build and strengthen relationships with existing and prospective clients through regular communication and account management.
- Generate sales leads, schedule client visits, and conduct market outreach within an assigned territory.
- Gather project information including scope, budgets, procurement methods, schedules, and competitive landscape.
- Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and bid documentation for maintenance agreements, service work, and retrofit projects.
- Present company capabilities and solutions to prospective clients and key stakeholders.
- Support contract negotiations and help position the company for preferred vendor status.
- Address customer concerns and coordinate internal resources to ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
- Assist with account receivable activities and support the resolution of outstanding customer issues when necessary.
- Experience in HVAC service sales, mechanical construction, facilities services, building automation, or a related industry.
- Strong relationship‑building and business development skills.
- Ability to identify customer needs and develop value‑driven solutions.
- Experience preparing proposals, presentations, and sales documentation.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Ability to travel regularly to customer sites.
- Ability to drive and enter/exit vehicles frequently.
- Ability to navigate construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, ladders, and other building environments as required.
- Ability to move throughout commercial and industrial facilities while conducting site visits and customer meetings.
