Are you a strategic relationship-builder with a passion for multifamily real estate and a proven ability to turn connections into growth opportunities?

We’re looking for a highly motivated, results-driven Director of New Business Development to join RYSE!

Based in Austin, this role will lead RYSE Management’s efforts to grow our multifamily management portfolio by identifying, cultivating, and securing new management opportunities. The Director will develop and execute business development strategies, build strong relationships with property owners and industry partners, and manage opportunities from initial prospecting through contract execution.

The ideal candidate is a confident relationship-builder with strong industry connections, excellent business development instincts, and a deep understanding of the multifamily real estate market.
Multifamily real estate experience is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and execute RYSE Management’s business development strategy to achieve portfolio growth and new management objectives.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new multifamily management opportunities through strategic networking, market research, referrals, and industry relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with property owners, investors, brokers, developers, and other key multifamily industry stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified management opportunities and proactively move prospects through the business development lifecycle.
  • Conduct market research to identify ownership groups, acquisition activity, development opportunities, and other potential sources of new business.
  • Partner with executive and regional leadership to develop pursuit strategies and determine the best approach for prospective management opportunities.
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of proposals, presentations, RFP responses, and pitch materials for prospective clients.
  • Represent RYSE Management at industry conferences, association meetings, networking events, and other business development functions.
  • Build RYSE’s presence and reputation within the multifamily and commercial real estate communities.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of local and regional multifamily market trends, competitors, ownership structures, and management opportunities.
  • Manage the full business development process from initial prospecting and relationship development through proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain accurate prospect records, document activity, manage the pipeline, track opportunities, and support business development forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Regional Leadership, and other internal teams to ensure a smooth transition of newly secured management opportunities.
  • Monitor business development activity, pipeline performance, and results and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
What You Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in multifamily real estate, property management, commercial real estate, business development, sales, or a related field.
  • Multifamily real estate experience is strongly preferred.
  • Established relationships with property owners, investors, brokers, developers, or other multifamily industry professionals.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of multifamily real estate markets, ownership structures, management services, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional relationship-building, networking, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and business development capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and develop actionable growth strategies.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage business development pipelines and activity.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other business development technologies.
