Required Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to complete CPR, First Aid, AED, Naloxone, and must obtain CJIS certification within one (1) year of employment.
  • Must turn in a personal history statement and be able to pass a full background check.
  • This position requires driving University vehicles.
  • This position requires a pre-employment Physical Skills Assessment.
  • This position requires pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of university parking rules and regulations, Board of Regents and university rules and regulations.
  • Skill in boot and impound techniques.
  • Knowledge of the proper procedures for emergency situations.
  • Skill in preparing clear, concise logs, citations, and reports.
Job Description

Responsible for enforcing the parking regulations of the university, assisting motorists, and securing the safety of students, faculty, and staff.

Job Duties
  • Promotes lawful behavior and protects the welfare of the students, faculty, and staff as a uniformed presence; performs foot and vehicle patrols, monitors behavior, secures buildings and property, maintains order, and enforces regulations.
  • Responds to medical calls for service.
  • Observes and reports criminal activity to the police dispatch.
  • Staffs kiosks to provide service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
  • Provides Safe Rides for students.
  • Enforces parking rules on campus, including issuing citations, warnings, and providing educational opportunities.
  • Responds to alarms and resets alarm panels.
  • Responds to emergency elevator calls.
  • Escorts students, faculty, and staff to their vehicles at night.
  • Follows all department policies for building access, room unlocks, and security.
  • Communicates with dispatch and police officers during incidents on campus.
  • Follows protocols to lock/unlock specific rooms or locations on campus.
  • Assists students and visitors in providing directions and answering questions.
  • Participates in community outreach and engagement.
  • Must turn in a personal history statement and be able to pass a full background.
