The Data Center Field Technician supports the installation, splicing, and testing of fiber optic infrastructure in data center and telecom environments. This role executes high-quality, standards-compliant work by following project documentation, drawings, and supervisor direction.
What We’re Looking For- Hands-on experience installing, splicing, and testing single-mode and multimode fiber in data center or telecom environments
- Proficiency with fusion splicers, fiber preparation tools, and basic fiber test equipment
- Ability to read and follow network drawings, splice diagrams, and rack elevations
- Strong attention to detail with cable routing, labeling, documentation, and quality control
- Safety-focused mindset with working knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and low-voltage standards
- FOA Certification (CFOT and/or CFOS preferred)
- BICSI Technician or higher (RCDD a plus)
- OSHA 30 (OSHA 10 minimum)
