Refrigeration Installer​/Service Technician Helper - Travel Team

Job Overview

Wood Air Conditioning & Plumbing, a top-tier commercial HVAC & plumbing company based in Round Rock, TX, is hiring traveling refrigeration installer/technician helpers for commercial refrigeration projects.

Full-time

• Hourly pay: $18.00 – $30.00/hour (paid weekly)
• Travel per diem: $40/day (lodging and transportation fully covered)
• Insurance & benefits: full‑coverage medical, dental, vision, life insurance; short‑ and long‑term disability; 401(k) with match (Contribute 6%, get 4%)
• Paid time off: up to 20 days based on experience; paid holidays

As a traveling refrigeration installer/technician, you will work on Walmart stores and other major commercial projects, installing and servicing:

• Refrigeration rack systems, walk‑ins, and related components
• Piping and sheet metal ductwork and installation of piping for refrigeration systems

You will read blueprints, collaborate with skilled professionals, complete jobs on time and within budget, while maintaining safety.

• 2+ years of commercial refrigeration installation experience
• Willingness to travel for extended trips
• Experience with Walmart installs or similar national chains preferred
• Sheet metal, ductwork, pipe fitting experience a strong plus
• EMS programming & start‑up experience a plus
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong problem‑solver, attention to detail, team player
• Reliable transportation to job sites
• Valid driver’s license & good driving record preferred
