Role
As an Installation Technician, you’ll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service and reliable door solutions to our customers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade a variety of sliding, swinging, and rotating doors while ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Perform service and installation in accordance with manufacturers’ recommended procedures and specifications.
- Document time spent and complete proper documentation detailing any problems, shortages and inefficiencies in job‑site conditions.
- Perform all work in a safe manner to prevent accidents to yourself, co‑workers, contractors and the public.
- Wear and maintain all personal protection equipment when necessary.
- Perform planned maintenance, break‑fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving electro‑mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic.
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low‑voltage wiring.
- Maintain professional communication with customers, end‑users, and contractors, providing exceptional service at every interaction.
- Participate in training programs and on‑call rotations after certification and training.
- Execute physically demanding tasks including lifting components up to 110 pounds, climbing ladders, kneeling, driving and working in various positions.
- 3–5 years of experience in direct industry, storefront door installation or related areas (storefront, glazing, doors, aluminium frames, electrical, glass, automatic doors, hardware, etc.).
- Must meet the minimum age requirement of 21.
- Must be able to obtain AAADM certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain certification as required.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience repairing electro‑mechanical devices.
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low‑voltage (120v) wiring (access control systems a plus).
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

- Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively.
