Senior Rust Developer

Job Title

Pay Range $47hr - $52hr

• 7+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in Rust Development.
• 5+ years of experience in Java.
• 5+ years of experience in C++.

• Lead the design and execution of Java-to-Rust conversion for Edge applications.
• Lead the design and execution of C/C++-to-Rust conversion for Edge applications.
• Train and mentor senior SMEs on advanced Rust concepts and best practices.
• Enable internal SMEs to assume the Rust Technical Lead role by the end of the engagement.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Rust.
• Build highly scalable, low-latency, and resilient services for cloud and distributed environments.
• Develop microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven applications.
• Implement concurrent and asynchronous solutions using Rust best practices.
• Optimize application performance, memory efficiency, and system reliability.
• Collaborate with architects and product teams to define technical solutions and system designs.
• Integrate applications with cloud platforms, databases, messaging systems, and enterprise platforms.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture reviews, and sprint planning activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Ensure security, observability, scalability, and compliance requirements are met.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

• Strong expertise in Rust Programming.
• Solid experience with C/C++ and Python.
• Ownership and Borrowing, Lifetimes, Traits and Generics, Memory Management, Error Handling.
• Async Programming, Tokio Framework, Concurrency and Multithreading.
• Cargo Package Management, Rust Testing Frameworks.
• Backend Development, REST APIs, gRPC Services, Microservices Architecture, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architectures.
• Databases:
  PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB.
• Messaging Platforms:
  Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus.
• Cloud & Platform Engineering: AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins CI/CD Automation.
• Operating Systems:
  Linux Administration, Linux Kernel Concepts, Shell Scripting.

• 5-7 years of Software Development Experience with 2+ years of hands-on Rust Development.
