JOB SUMMARY
Employee will be responsible for coordinating and supporting daily logistics operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, parts kitting, warehouse organization, and customer unit transportation activities. The Logistics Clerk serves as a senior logistics team member responsible for assisting with workflow prioritization, training less experienced employees, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting departmental efficiency initiatives. Responsibilities also include driving company van for the pick-up and delivery of customer units within the state of Texas.
May be expected to use a forklift to put away or retrieve unit inventory. Additional responsibilities include general shipping and receiving duties, including customer units and parts; maintaining customer and Odyssey unit inventory stored in the warehouse; issuing parts to Technicians and Assemblers; inventory control; parts kitting; and facilities maintenance.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Employee must have a high-quality work ethic and aptitude. Computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software or inventory system requirements are required to be successful in this position. Customer unit and part/component knowledge are expected to be acquired skills as the employee gains experience an driving record required if driving the company van. Forklift Training Certificate required if operating forklift equipment.
- Assisting with coordinating daily logistics workflow and departmental priorities.
- Training and mentoring less experienced logistics personnel.
- Accurately utilizing Odyssey’s inventory and shipping software systems (Net Suite).
- Maintaining inventory accuracy and identifying discrepancies.
- Communicating effectively across departments including Repair, Assembly, Customer Service, and Management.
- Working with a high emphasis on organization, attention to detail, and accountability.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement within shipping, receiving, and inventory operations.
- Following company procedures, work instructions, inventory systems, and safety requirements at all times.
- Accurately receiving customer units using Odyssey’s software (Net Suite).
- Accurately packing and shipping customer units using required logistics partners and Odyssey’s software (Net Suite).
- Utilizing general material handling equipment such as forklifts, packing systems, and other equipment.
- Performing inventory counts of customer units, Odyssey-owned units, and shipping-related items, as required.
- Assisting with prioritization of daily shipping and receiving activities to support operational goals.
- Assisting with resolution and escalation of shipping discrepancies or inventory issues.
- Accurately receiving and issuing parts using Odyssey’s inventory software (Net Suite).
- Demonstrating inventory management best practices.
- Working with and identifying various electronic parts and components.
- Assisting with maintaining organization and inventory accuracy within the parts room.
- Supporting parts kitting and material staging activities for Repair and Assembly departments.
- Following internal procedures, work instructions, inventory systems, and Safety Awareness requirements at all times.
- Following all procedures, safety requirements, and logging duties related to driving the Odyssey van.
- Assisting Supervisor with daily workflow coordination and task prioritization.
- Training and supporting new logistics personnel.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional warehouse environment.
- Working well as a team to accomplish daily tasks and departmental goals.
- Other non-specific duties and responsibilities a Lead or Supervisor may require of the employee.
