Sirius Staffing is seeking an Inventory Specialist for a contract role in Round Rock, TX.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Position Type:
Contract Assignment (Potential for Extension)
Position Summary
Summary:
This role is primarily responsible for accurately receiving materials into inventory, entering and locating information in our inventory management system, and handling chemical materials in accordance with safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, attention to detail, and experience or comfort working with chemicals.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately enter material information into the inventory management system.
- Tag, label, and identify materials while ensuring all required documentation is completed and maintained.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including material locations, quantities, and status updates.
- Retrieve and provide inventory information to team members and supervisors as needed.
- Safely handle chemical materials in accordance with company policies and safety procedures.
- Assist with the segregation, identification, and proper handling of expired, damaged, or non-conforming materials.
- Support inventory accuracy through routine audits, record updates, and data verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse and inventory personnel to ensure timely and accurate material transactions.
- Perform additional inventory, logistics, and data entry duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in inventory control, logistics, warehouse operations, material handling, or data entry.
- Experience working with inventory management systems.
- Familiarity with receiving, shipping, or inventory documentation processes.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
