About the Role
This newly created position offers significant autonomy and direct engagement with executive leadership, including the CEO and CFO. The Senior Financial Analyst will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and refining advanced financial models that inform strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and operational performance. This role requires a proactive individual who can independently drive projects, manage priorities effectively, and maintain transparent communication within a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and enhancement of extensive financial forecast models (15+ years) to guide strategic planning and operational insights.
- Analyze complex financial and operational data to identify key trends, potential risks, and growth opportunities.
- Design and implement intricate financial models, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adaptability.
- Evaluate and leverage appropriate financial modeling and analytics tools, with an openness to exploring AI-driven solutions.
- Troubleshoot, audit, and optimize existing models for improved performance and reliability.
- Clearly document complex calculations, underlying assumptions, and data flows within financial models.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to gather necessary inputs, validate assumptions, and effectively communicate model outputs to diverse stakeholders.
- Present insightful findings and model results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics
- 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong emphasis on long-term financial forecasting and complex modeling.
- Demonstrated ability to build, validate, and improve sophisticated financial models.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other financial modeling software; experience with AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics tools for forecasting is highly valued.
- Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills, with an ability to interpret large and intricate datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for clarifying complex financial concepts.
- A self-starter mentality with strong initiative, drive, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A solid understanding of basic accounting principles, financial statements, and valuation methodologies.
- Willingness to learn new systems and technologies, and adapt quickly to evolving industry dynamics.
