Certified Medical Assistant

Overview

Pride Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility in Rowlett, TX
. This is a 3+ month contract assignment and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization.

• Performs all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice. Operates diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or capillary, and performs EKGs. Performs quality control checks on equipment.
• Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares the patient for examination.
• Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.
• Respects patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect.
• Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stocks and cleans rooms.
• Practices standard infection control precautions.

• Minimum of 2 years of preferred experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant
• High school diploma or equivalent
• BLS Certification

Experience in family practice.
