We specialize in medium to high-hazard industrial maintenance, mechanical services, and specialized equipment operations. We have Labor only jobs, Crane Services along with wet and dry vacuum trucks. We pride ourselves on executing complex projects with precision, and our commitment to an incident-free workplace is our highest priority.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, meticulous Safety Manager to oversee, maintain, and elevate our health and safety programs. In a company of our size, this is a hands-on, high-impact role. The ideal candidate will balance a strong field presence with a heavy emphasis on administrative compliance, credential tracking, and regulatory paperwork. You will be the primary custodian of our safety culture, ensuring our workforce is fully trained, our equipment is compliant, and our documentation is flawless.

Specialized experience managing safety protocols for heavy cranes and vacuum trucks/hydro-blasting operations is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance, Documentation & Paperwork

· Maintain, update, and enforce the company’s Safety Manual ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

· Manage all safety-related paperwork, including OSHA 300 logs, incident reports, workers' compensation claims, and near-miss logs.

· Author and review job-specific safety plans, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and formal standard operating procedures (SOPs).

· Prepare compliance reports and safety portfolios for client pre-qualification platforms (e.g., ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce).

Credentialing, Training & Onboarding

· Build, maintain, and audit a digital tracking system for all employee certifications, licenses, and medical clearances.

· Proactively schedule and coordinate regulatory training, including OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, Confined Space Entry, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

· Lead the safety onboarding and orientation process for all new hires and subcontractors.

· Manage the company’s DOT drug and alcohol testing program and commercial driver medical monitoring.

Specialized Equipment Safety Oversight

· Cranes & Rigging: Oversee safety compliance for mobile crane operations, ensuring adherence to OSHA . Verify third-party crane inspections, review critical lift plans, and manage NCCCO operator credentials and rigger/signal person certifications.

· Vacuum Trucks & High-Pressure Systems: Manage safety protocols for industrial vacuum services, hydro-blasting, and hazardous material transport. Ensure compliance with DOT cargo tank regulations, PPE requirements for high-pressure operations, and proper waste manifest documentation.

Field Auditing & Incident Management

· Conduct regular, documented safety audits across various industrial job sites to ensure field compliance.

· Lead investigations for all incidents, injuries, and near-misses; identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

· Lead company-wide safety committees and design weekly toolbox talks tailored to current project hazards.

Qualifications & Skills

· Experience: Minimum of 5 years of safety management experience within the industrial contracting, construction, or heavy manufacturing industries.

· Education/Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field preferred. Professional certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, CHST, COSS) are highly desirable.

· Specialized Knowledge: Deep familiarity with OSHA construction (1926) and general industry (1910) standards, ASME B30 (Cranes), and DOT Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR).

· Administrative Skills: Exceptional organizational skills with proven experience managing high volumes of digital documentation, safety databases, and training matrices.

· Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface confidently with field laborers, corporate executives, and industrial clients.
