Person County Department of Social Services is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Continuous Quality Improvement Specialist (CQI Specialist) to join our Adult Services team. This professional position plays a vital role in strengthening service delivery, enhancing program outcomes, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations that support vulnerable individuals and families throughout the community. The CQI Specialist is responsible for evaluating service quality and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement through data analysis, case reviews, quality assurance activities, staff support, and training initiatives.
This position works collaboratively with leadership and program staff to assess operational effectiveness, promote best practices, and ensure adherence to applicable laws, policies, and procedures within Adult Services programs. This position operates with a high degree of independence under limited supervision and reports directly to the Assistant Human Services Director. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break.
Occasional evening, early morning, or after-hours work may be required to support trainings, audits, meetings, or other departmental needs.
The starting salary will be determined with consideration given to both the candidate's educational background and relevant work experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record per County policy.
This is a non-exempt position working 37.5 hours weekly/1950 hours annually.
