Position Summary:

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for conducting routine and specialized laboratory tests, analyzing materials, recording data, and supporting research, quality, and production activities. This role ensures accurate, reliable results to maintain product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement within the organization. The duties outlined in this Job Description are expected to be completed in a professional, safe and quality minded manner, and per all Company Policies, Procedures and additional expectations as outlined by position Supervisor.

Major

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform job duties in compliance with site safety rules and notify appropriate management of any safety hazard, with the intent of supporting an injury-free work environment.
• Support the company's quality and safety initiatives
• Abide by the job-related procedures, work instructions and other guidelines designed to help ensure the quality, purity, or compliance with specifications
• Use written specifications in coordination with precision measuring instruments, devices, or gauges to ensure conformance with standards
• Check finished products for irregularities to supervisor or production management
• Check accuracy of gauges, scales and other measuring instruments
• Report on quality C.O.T
• Keep laboratory area clean and neat
• Perform any other duties as requested by Supervisor or Quality Manager

Job Specific Requirements:

Physicality:

• Lift, push, pull items to 20 lbs
• Stand and sit for 8 – 12 hours per shift

Expected Work Schedule / Shift:

• Shift – A B C or D
• Night / Day
• Must report to shift and clock in prior to 5:50 am / pm
• Must meet with prior shift
• Mandatory Overtime based on business / staffing requirements
• Expectation of occasional voluntary or mandatory non-scheduled shift coverage

Education /

Skills:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
• Manufacturing Experience
• Experience in a continuous manufacturing facility a plus
• Communication Skills – verbal and written
• Computer Skills if applicable
• Ability to work with others and in team environment, or as an individual

General:
