Packard Dental is seeking an experienced, compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team. This position is part-time to start, with a strong opportunity to become full-time as our practice continues to grow.
We are looking for a confident, self-motivated professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care, works well independently, and values being part of a supportive team. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred as we continue expanding care for our Spanish-speaking community.
Responsibilities- Assist doctors during a variety of dental procedures while ensuring excellent patient comfort.
- Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Sterilize and maintain instruments in accordance with OSHA and infection control standards.
- Take quality digital radiographs and intraoral photographs.
- Educate patients on treatment recommendations, oral hygiene, and post-operative instructions.
- Assist with impressions, temporaries, CEREC workflows, and other clinical procedures as needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation in Eaglesoft.
- Monitor inventory and help keep operatories fully stocked and organized.
- Work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, and front office team members to provide an outstanding patient experience.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and positive clinical environment.
- Be flexible and willing to assist wherever needed to support the success of the practice.
Required
- Previous experience as a dental assistant.
- Current Utah Dental Assistant certification (or ability to meet state requirements).
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
Preferred
- Spanish-speaking (strongly preferred).
- Experience with digital radiography and Eaglesoft.
- Experience with CEREC, intraoral scanners, and modern digital dentistry.
