Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer
. This candidate will join the Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) Segment and be a contributing member of the Software & System Integration (SSI) Weapon System Integration (WSI) team. This position will be located in Roy, UT
.
This multi‑tiered and multi‑disciplined team assesses design compatibilities across the Weapon System (WS) Segment teams. The team serves as the objective integrators to ensure balanced requirement definition influences design space/decisions that ultimately ensures full‑lifecycle capability effectiveness. Candidates must be able to understand the intent of WS design at the highest levels and drive engineering processes & analyses into specific product team designs to prove successful design integration and analyze for potential gaps.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate leadership principles – Integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc.
- Be proficient in the development of key system engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documents.
- Ensure appropriate coordination between SEIT and other integration teams.
- Participate in technical planning, verification and validation development, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses for integrated systems.
- Systems Engineer (Level
2): 2 Years of related experience with Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (STEM); 0 Years with Masters. - Principal Systems Engineer (Level
3): 5 Years of related experience with Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (STEM); 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD. - Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Minimum 2 years working experience on ICBMs.
- Minimum 2 years Systems Engineering experience.
- Minimum 2 years of DOORS or related experience.
- Direct development experience of interface products (IRS, IDD, ICD) and requirement specifications.
- Experience with creating and executing to schedule & technical recovery plans.
- Experience working across program organizations to find solutions.
- Experience with team leadership/management.
- Past/Active employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems.
- Experience contributing towards various phases of a program lifecycle.
- Experience contributing towards various phases of the Systems Engineering 'V' lifecycle.
- Experience with developing architectural diagrams.
- Earned Value Management experience.
- Risk Management experience.
