Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer
. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- The selected candidate will perform technical planning, system requirement development, requirements verification, and support reviews. The candidate responsibilities will include requirements development in DOORS and MBSE development in Cameo in addition to coordination with design, test, and other teams.
- The selected candidate will demonstrate technical skills, organization, be an effective communicator, and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate. They will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the program as required to accomplish tasks.
- The selected candidate may support Guidance & Control requirements, verification, interfaces, architecture, and/or Major Program Event (MPE) event coordination.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:This requisition may be filled at either the Systems Engineer level (T-02) or Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03).
Engineer Systems (T-02):- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience, 0 years of experience with a Master's degree
- 2+ years of experience with Systems Engineering Principles
- 2+ years of experience with Requirements Development
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree
- 3+ years of experience with Systems Engineering Principles
- 3+ years of experience with Requirements Development
- 1+ years of experience with MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering) Principles
- 1+ years of experience with the Agile Approach
