Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Systems Engineer (level
2)/Principal Systems Engineer (level
3) to join its team in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel Program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
This multi-tiered and multi-disciplined team assesses design compatibilities across the Weapon System (WS) Segment teams. The team serves as the objective integrators to ensure balanced requirement definition influences design space/decisions that ultimately ensures full-lifecycle capability effectiveness. Candidates must be able to understand the intent of WS design at the highest levels and drive engineering processes & analyses into specific product team designs to prove successful design integration and analyze for potential gaps.
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership and foundational systems engineering skills to drive process and technical gap resolution of interface and requirement design solutions to achieve program and contract objectives. Demonstrated ability to foster diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated success collaborating and leading Engineering teams.
- Demonstrate leadership principles – Integrity, respect, organizational, communication etc.
- Be proficient in the development of key system engineering artifacts such as requirement specifications and interface definition documents.
- Ensure appropriate coordination between SEIT and other integration teams
- Participate in technical planning, verification and validation development, cost and risk considerations, and requirements analyses for integrated systems
- Systems Engineer (Level
2): 2 Years of related experience with Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (STEM); 0 Years with Masters - Principal Systems Engineer (Level
3): 5 Years of related experience with Bachelor s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (STEM); 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD - Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs
