Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manufacturing or Principal Manufacturing Engineer at our Roy, UT facility supporting the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do

This position requires a highly motivated self-starter with knowledge in the fabrication, assembly, system integration, and testing of hardware. The candidate will author and create Product Release Documents (PRD), Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM), Work Instructions, PPP & BTP packages. Work with and coordinate with Global Supply Chain to move installation packages and related engineering documents through process flow to drive material procurement.

Assist in peer reviews of design releases to ensure first‑time quality. Interface with cross‑functional internal & external teams and stakeholders critical to system deployment and installation. Oversee and drive progress using metrics and lessons learned. Author and assist in the creation of comprehensive & detailed work instructions for multiple system locations supporting system deployment and success.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Job Qualifications Manufacturing Engineer

Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of relevant work experience;
Master’s Degree with 0 years of relevant work experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have 2 years working experience in a digital manufacturing environment using core systems
Principal Manufacturing Engineer

Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of relevant work experience;
Master’s Degree with 3 years of relevant work experience; or PhD with 0 years of experience. 4 additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have 3 years working experience in a digital manufacturing environment using core systems
Required For Both Levels
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
  • Previous experience working manufacturing engineering on EMD/LRIP/Production Programs
These Qualifications Would Be Nice To Have
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) or in a manufacturing engineering related field
  • Previous experience in production for a military program
  • Previous experience on EMD projects
  • Prior experience with Inter‑Continental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM)
  • Experience working Designs into preproduction & production
  • Experience with Siemens NX tools, Model based engineering, and Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Demonstrated experience using SAP, Windows software packages and other electronic databases

Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 – $

Secondary Level Salary Range: $86,600.00 – $
