Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer / Systems Test Engineer for the Launch Systems team located in Roy, UT, supporting the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role will be responsible for system test activities, including prototype, development, and qualification testing.

Responsibilities
  • Position on the System Test Team to develop system‑level test and integration activities.
  • Collaborate with other Integrated Product Teams to define test objectives, verification requirements, data objectives, and verification cases for test activities in the integration labs.
  • Develop system‑level test information, planning, and verification diagrams using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools/software.
  • Produce architecture models for the lab environment and test configurations.
  • Apply knowledge of system integration and test principles.
  • Display excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Prepare and brief leadership on the test and integration between system segments.
Basic Qualifications
  • Systems Test Engineer: 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; alternatively 0 years of experience with a Master’s; additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Principal Systems Test Engineer: 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree; 3 years of experience with a Master’s; 1 year of experience with a PhD; additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period of time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • US Citizenship with an active Top‑Secret clearance or higher (awarded within the past 6 years) and the ability to obtain SAP certification.
  • Previous test experience at any level of build (unit, element, segment, etc.).
  • Experience performing in a Systems/Systems Test Engineering or related technical discipline and understanding of systems engineering principles and processes, including test requirements, test plan development, and integration testing.
  • Familiarity with product integration, regression, and verification testing.
  • Knowledge of system integration and test principles.
  • Experience developing test plans and test procedures.
  • Experience working in an MBSE environment using DOORS, CAMEO, UML, or SysML.
  • Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) standards and methods.
  • Experience operating in an Agile environment using Atlassian tools (JIRA or Confluence).
  • Experience with automated test tools such as IBM ELM Jazz or MATLAB scripting.
  • Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and data review, including post‑test data analysis.

Secondary Level: $89,400.00 – $.
