Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is looking for a Supplier Management Team (SMT) Senior Principal Systems Engineer on the Delta Flight Test Vehicle (DFTV) within Advanced Equipment Subcontract with Lockheed Martin for the Sentinel Program, located at the Strategic Deterrence Division (SDS) headquarters in Roy, UT
.
- Complete tasking with minimum oversight.
- Understand and apply system requirements.
- Mentor lower level Engineers.
- Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for mechanical, electrical and integrated systems.
- Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.
- Create technical reports and present technical information
- Requirements coordination with systems engineers, specialty teams, and customer.
- Verify specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis.
- Support all phases of the systems life cycle including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Review customer deliverables, testing, and requirements verification.
- Bring technical information to boards including PERB, AERB and TRB (as applicable) for all variances, technical direction to supplier, etc.
- Support pre-ship reviews and coordination with ILS group.
- Maintain design documentation and follow configuration management requirements.
- Assistance in planning and scheduling activities.
- Interface with AF customer and Subcontractor.
- Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of related experience, 6 years with a master degree.
- Active DoD Secret (or higher) clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation) with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR).
- 5 years minimum experience in Requirements Verification and tools such as DOORS.
- 3 years experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and tools such as Cameo
- 5 years experience in review/approval of test plans/procedures and test reports.
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Prior Supplier Management Experience on a Program in the Development phase.
- Technical evaluations of supplier proposals & subsequent contract negotiations.
- Experience in creating and monitoring technical risks and opportunities.

- The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
- Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

This position s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
