Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Mission Assurance 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program.
Responsibilities- Manage a group of high performing Mission Assurance managers and engineers at multiple locations establishing objectives, providing direction, and ensuring strategic alignment to support the Sentinel program goals and objectives
- Act as an advisor to subordinate managers and staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
- Provide leadership and oversight to critical program reviews including technical reviews, test readiness reviews, certifications and sell offs.
- Team and collaborate closely with internal & external customers and stakeholders, including, but not limited to, Mission Assurance Director, MA team members, Supplier Mission Assurance, Business Unit and Operating Unit teams, Systems Engineering, DCMA and customer counterparts to enable program mission success.
- Lead/facilitate FRBs and MRBs ensuring identification of root cause and proper implementation of corrective actions including reach back and reach across.
- Assure adherence to the Sentinel Quality Assurance Program Plan, Program requirements, Company policies and procedures, and government regulations.
- Provide senior technical oversight for root cause analysis and preventive/corrective action implementation.
- Lead and participate in the continuous improvement of processes, procedures, work instructions, tools, metrics, and training materials.
- Refine best practices and expand program cross sharing to elevate program performance and growth.
- Perform analysis and trending of metrics.
- Provide leadership and technical expertise to Supplier Mission Assurance in collaboration with Supplier Management Teams.
- Develop staffing strategies to support program needs while managing direct and indirect budgets.
- Conduct employee/team talent development, performance management and career development

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Qualifications- Bachelor's of Science degree and 8+ years of relevant professional experience;
Master’s degree and 6 years of experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree - Active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
- Experience with Mission Assurance and Quality practices and processes
- Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metrics reporting
- Minimum of 3 years experience leading a project or team and driving performance against schedule
- Active Top Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a STEM field
- Systems Engineering, Integration & Test experience
- Leadership experience within quality or mission assurance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement training/experience.
- Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience
- Experience with ICBM Systems

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
