Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking 2 (two)
Systems Engineering Section Manager 2. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel Program. The selected candidate will be part of the Command Systems - Systems Engineering Integration & Test (CS SEIT) MS&A Team. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
The selected candidate will be responsible for a Systems Engineering discipline Section within the SDS Systems Engineering organization and will report directly to an SDS Systems Engineering Department Manager. You will provide career mentorship and operational support to a Functional Home Room (FHR) team (Section) of between 8 and 12 Individual Contributors (ICs) based on Engineering goals, objectives, and company policy.
Key FHR responsibilities will be personnel performance management, process familiarization and training for Section members, as well as staffing of roles on projects.
As a Section Manager you will be expected to spend roughly 20% of your effort on Functional Homeroom responsibilities with 80% of your efforts focused on a technical assignment on an SDS project.
What You’ll Get To Do- Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for specific aspects of the system.
- Leading a team of engineers supporting Command and Control Element.
- Support analytical requirement decomposition, development and traceability.
- Support MBSE strategy and implementation.
- Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance.
- Contribute content for presentations to internal and external stakeholders.

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) with at least 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters degree
- Minimum 1 year experience with modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Experience with System Analysis using MATLAB, Python, C++, STK and/or other analytical modeling tools
- Experience in writing and presenting technical content
- Experience with structural and/or electrical analysis principals
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher awarded or reviewed in the last 6 years (or in continued evaluation)
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
- Strong Understanding of Modeling Simulation and Analysis Principles
- Experience with Department of Defense and/or Missile Systems
- Minimum 1 year experience leading a team and/or driving performance against schedule
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience with Systems Engineering including analytical requirement decomposition, verification, validation, and functional analysis
