You will provide Cyber Systems Engineering direction to our team and be accountable for the planning and execution of Cybersecurity Systems Engineering efforts for complex software and hardware airborne vehicle and ground systems. Work location will be on-site at the Roy, Utah facility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Cybersecurity Program Management team in executing the Statement of Work and Engineering scope aligned with cost and schedule constraints, including technical decision-making to ensure timely, high quality product deliveries and flight test events geared to meet mission requirements.
  • Ensure the Cybersecurity team execution remains aligned with the Statement of Work, effectively managing scope, and actively leading a disciplined Change Management process for technical content.
  • As the Technical Leader and Technical Authority, lead rigorous engineering development activities to accomplish mission and program objectives while managing engineering risks and capturing opportunities.
  • Partner and collaborate with the program Office of Chief Engineers to accomplish program requirements and meet mission objectives.
  • Lead a team of specialized Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) Cybersecurity Systems Engineers in the development and enhancement of the Sentinel system aligned with Cybersecurity policies and best practices as the Cybersecurity Systems Engineering technical authority across the weapon system.
  • Lead an extended team of US Government, NGMS, Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), and supplier cybersecurity practitioners across multiple program locations.
  • Ensure weapon system compliance with all contractually obligated cybersecurity standards and guidance, including but not limited to CNSSI 1253, DoD 8140/8570, DoD 8510, and AFI 17-101.
  • Lead team reviews of technical content for engineering review boards related to requirements, design, quality, technical accuracy, and correctness prior to higher engineering review boards.
  • Lead cybersecurity assessment activities, as well as team reviews of cybersecurity assessment methods, plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the viability, efficiency, and effectiveness of Cybersecurity implementations.
  • Solve complex problems across disciplines in an Agile execution framework.
  • Demonstrate expert level clear and concise communication (written and oral), presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills at levels up through the executive ranks both internally and externally.
  • Quickly build strong trusted relationships and calmly negotiate challenging program requirements, strategies, and conflicting equities among a large and diverse group of program stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with program managers and System Program Office (SPO) customer representatives to meet program objectives.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 16 years of relevant experience;
    Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 14 years of relevant experience;
    PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other technical/science discipline with 11 years of relevant experience.
  • Expert level knowledge of Cybersecurity Systems Engineering practices and Weapon System Cyber Architecture, including advanced knowledge of network technologies, custom hardware, software implementations, DoD system development life cycles and methodologies, and insight into information technology infrastructure management/monitoring and applications for very large scale development programs.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Cybersecurity roles of increasing responsibility on $50M+ programs designing, implementing, and/or operating cyber security protections for weapon systems and/or supporting mission systems and networks.
  • At least 10 years proven experience in Systems Engineering leadership roles covering all phases of the Systems Engineering lifecycle, including delivery.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Cyber Security Risk Management Construct and/or Cyber Survivability Endorsement Implementation Guide.
  • Working experience with DoW Cyber Developmental Test and Evaluation and/or Operational Test and Evaluation.
  • A current/active DoD Secret clearance.
