Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector Strategic Deterrent Systems Division is seeking an NG Fellow 1 SDS Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) who will play an instrumental role in developing, evolving, and leading technological strategy in this skill area for the broader organization. This position will be located in Roy, Utah.

General responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
The individual in this role will provide technical leadership and direction on Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) for the Sentinel ICBM as well as provide technical expertise and develop GN&C development and maturation strategy for SDS. This position reports directly to the Office of the Chief Engineer.

  • Experience in leading organizational change and ensuring successful adoption of new technologies and best practices.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high‑performing teams, including recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
  • Ability to strategically allocate resources and manage budgets to optimize team performance and deliver value‑driven results.
  • Ability to influence and gain buy‑in from key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and successful project delivery.
Technical Skills And Core Competencies
  • Experience in the development, test, and fielding of flight critical systems
  • Experience in design and development of flight control algorithms/feedback control systems.
  • Experience in developing requirements and verification plans, and negotiations with customer and user communities.
  • Designs research and develop highly advanced new applications resulting in new product/business opportunities for the company.
  • Proficiency with development of architecture and requirements for a hard real‑time system.
