Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an Electronic Technician 2 or 3 - for our Roy, UT location supporting the Sentinel Program.

Job Responsibilities
• Support CSIL Lab Operations laboratory test plans. This includes but is not limited to; installation/removal of hardware and line replaceable units (LRU), building to drawings, executing work orders, manufacturing lab cables and harnesses, troubleshooting, document and report defects as required, etc.
• Work with Management, Lab Operations, and Designers to ensure the lab is built and maintained to the correct specifications needed for formal test and daily lab operations.
• Work with lab management to ensure the CSIL laboratory is compliant with all security, safety, SDS, and other program directives.
• Comply with all corporate and laboratory safety and security policies.
• Travel, as required, in support of Sentinel requirement verification.
• Construct simple test fixtures and perform minor repairs or modifications to test fixtures such as drilling and tapping holes, and wiring and soldering components and component parts as directed by engineer or higher classified personnel.
• Installs, operates, maintains, repairs, and modifies equipment.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electronic systems including repair and setup of video, audio, process controllers, test equipment, and data acquisition systems.
• Read and understand electrical schematics as well as use a variety of electronic troubleshooting equipment.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures such as preparing routine solutions and reagents and performing routine reactions. Makes and records observations; performs simple calculations; and collects and prepares data for evaluation.
• Conducts laboratory support functions such as stocking and distributing supplies and equipment; arranging and dismantling apparatus; and collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
• Performs technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements. May analyze compounds and manage corporate compound collection.
• Performs technical procedures in one or more of the following areas:
Production, Research and Development, Quality Control/Assurance, and/or Compliance/Environmental.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems. Guidance is readily available from superiors. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
