The selected candidate will become a Design Engineer/ Architect on the Infrastructure Design Team (INF). This role supports the design, modeling, and integration efforts for Civil/Structural elements for Sentinel Launch Facilities, Launch Centers, or Test Facilities. This position will be located in Roy, UT. Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
• Responsible for overseeing and coordinating architectural design for the Sentinel infrastructure and facilities.
• Subject matter expert supporting the architecture of complex, modular structures.
• Interpret and verify industry standards, guidelines, and codes for project deliverables.
• Participate in project design/model reviews.
• Review subcontractors design product quality/accuracy by reviewing architectural drawings and specifications and validating that current standards are applied and integrated into the design solution.
• Support the delivery of Architectural drawings within Technical Data Packages (TDP), Issue-for-Construction (IFC) packages, as-built TDPs, PDPs, interface models, and additional design artifacts.
• Supporting structured trade studies to evaluate alternative design solutions to resolve technical issues
• Developing and presenting design change requests, coordinating with impacted internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring configuration control of the technical baseline.
• Identifying risks and opportunities associated with or driven by design factors and executing handling/mitigation/capture actions to reduce risk or realize opportunities.
• Developing and maturing Architectural designs that meet Weapon System requirements, UFC, MIL-STD, and other applicable codes and regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with investigation date within 5 years.

* Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).

* Design Architect:
Bachelor's degree in architecture with 2 years' of related experience; 0 years' experience with a Master's degree.

* Principal Design Architect:
Bachelors degree in architecture, plus 5 years of related experience; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 years of experience.

* Fully competent architect in all conventional aspects of architecture.

* Independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity.

* Performs analyses of design, planning, and occupancy studies, and limited design layouts.

* Prepare project specifications, compiling and analyzing relevant data.

* Review completed reports, plans, estimates, and calculations.

* Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client's needs.

* Provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects. Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs.

* Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.
