Sr. Principal System Engineer – Sentinel Program – Roy, UT

• Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into system requirements and further allocate to lower‑level requirements.
• Assist with the generation and revision of executable system and subsystem requirements documents, interface documents, and test and verification documents.
• Support systems engineering metrics and technical performance measurement tracking.
• Support the preparation of system engineering materials during system reviews as needed.
• Interface with inter‑organizational management and external Customer to communicate technical briefing and program status.
• Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) from an accredited university and 8 years of related experience (6 years with a Master’s; 4 years with a PhD).
• 5+ years experience writing, maintaining, and/or owning interface requirements.
• Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS and CAMEO.
• Experience with configuration management and product lifecycle management tools.
• Development experience with Interface Requirement Specifications (IRS) or Interface Control Documents (ICD).
• Experience in technical documentation.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an SAP clearance.

• Experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering.
• Experience working in the defense industry or weapon systems.
• Understanding of SSCMAN 91‑710 Range Safety Compliance.
• Experience developing an Operational Concept (Ops Con) document.
• Experience with large complex design and hardware integration efforts.
• Experience developing Interface Requirement Specifications (IRS).
• Experience developing Interface Control Documents (ICD).
• Active Sentinel SAP clearance.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary level salary range: $ – $. The final salary offer considers scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
