What you will get to doThe Sentinel program has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join the team supporting activities including use case development, requirements definition/allocation, functional decomposition, interface definition, verification & validation, and requirements traceability.
- Collaborate with program IPT counterparts to develop supporting systems engineering and design artifacts.
- Work with both technical teams and stakeholders to develop and mature architecture content of large programs design.
- Help develop and incorporate the appropriate requirements for the system and ensure that they are properly represented in the model.
- Develop systems architecture using Cameo Enterprise Architecture (behavioral, structural, analytical).
- Contribute to system requirements development, management, and analysis.
- Develop unifying model techniques, procedures, and processes (for model development, tool integration, and team integration).
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 5 years of experience, 3 years of experience with master’s degree, 0 years of experience with PhD.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- 1+ years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or similar tool.
- 1+ year experience in ICBM (MMIII or Sentinel) OR complex aerospace/defense systems.
- 1+ year experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities.
- 1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8 years of experience, 6 years of experience with master’s degree, 4 years of experience with PhD.
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must be able to be successfully screened for Enhanced Security Clearances, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- 2+ years of experience with requirements management/analysis/allocations.
- 2+ years of experience with Model-Based Engineering / Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBE/MBSE) practices, languages and/or tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody or MagicDRAW.
- 2+ years of experience with one or more of the following:
Command & Control (C2), physical security, cybersecurity, Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) systems/processes, communications systems, facility design, military aerospace development (e.g. Sentinel, Minute Man III, B‑2, B‑21 delivery systems).
- 1+ years of experience developing or reviewing requirements within DOORS or similar tool.
- Self-driven, able to tackle challenges, solve problems with minimal oversight and make recommendations for solutions/process improvement to leadership.
- 1+ year experience in team environments with leadership responsibilities.
- 1+ year experience creating, updating, and maintaining system performance documentation.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
