Roles And Responsibilities
  • Create and implement deployable mechanical mechanisms that are verified through test/analysis.
  • Develop CAD models visualizing various design solutions.
  • Deliver required PDPs on time to meet program objectives.
  • Support all phases of the systems lifecycle including design, drawings, fabrication, test, installation, operation and maintenance.
  • Identify gaps within a design and/or requirements and provide a resolution that is cost effective, innovative, and has minimal impact to others.
  • Ensure the developed PDPs meet the design requirements from the various element/configured item specifications.
  • Preparation and presentation of reports, briefings, design documents (drawings and specifications) and interface with customers.
Basic Qualifications

This position may be filled at a Mechanical Engineer level or at a Principal Mechanical Engineer level.

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of related experience; or a master’s degree with 1 year of related experience (Principal level requires 5 years with a bachelor’s; or 3 years with a master’s).
  • Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Requires a minimum 2 years of experience with CAD modeling.
  • Requires experience with design/fabrication techniques for structural details, assemblies, and/or installations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of GD&T, materials selection, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills when conveying technical content.
  • ICBM Experience.
  • Experience in creating a Product Definition Package (PDP) or PDP like products.
  • Experience with the ASME Y14.X suite of engineering drawing standards.
  • Ability to work closely with multiple functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Field Operations, etc.).
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter CPLM (Common Product Lifecycle Management) tools.
  • Experience with requirements management and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) principles.
  • Proficiency in DOORS, CAMEO, Jira and Confluence.
