Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
Roles and Responsibilities- Setting up cost control system, monitoring and controlling costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system.
- Performing analysis and preparing reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.
- Preparing budgets and schedules for contract work and performing and/or assisting in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
- Preparing program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled.
- Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks.
- Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
- Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Business, Finance, Accounting, Cost Accounting and/or Aerospace and Defense Business-related experience; 3 years with a master’s degree; or 9 years of related experience may be accepted with a high school diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with MS Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Power BI.
- Experience with SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek Cobra, MS Project, and/or OneIWO.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or Program Scheduling.
- Aerospace/Defense industry experience.
- Experience with subcontracts and IWO agreements.
- 3+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
- Experience working in Deltek Cobra.
- Strong analytical ability.
