Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Software Factory Project Management
3. This position is located in Roy, UT or Huntsville, AL. This position supports the Sentinel Software Factory program.
The selected candidate will be responsible for oversight and management of the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. They will review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepare status reports. They will assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
The selected candidate will develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
What You'll Get To Do:
- Development and adherence to master plans and schedules
- Developing Rough order of Magnitude (ROM) documents to support program change request reviews
- Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar cost & schedule control methodologies and tools
- Measuring and reporting software cost and schedule performance
- Providing input into software staffing plans
- Delivering presentations to customers, executive management, and other program stakeholders
- Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
- Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, and manages change through control board activities
- Conducting thorough risk & opportunity management practices including identification, mitigation, and realization

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience; master's degree and 6 years' experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
