Northrop Grumman is looking for a CNC Machinist 3 - Intern to join our Promontory, Utah team. This is a Skill Bridge Internship Posting. We are looking for active duty personnel that will be transitioning from the military in the next 6-9 months. Please do not apply for this role if you are not in the military.

The Northrop Grumman Military Internship Program (NG-MIP) is an approved Skill Bridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. The NG-MIP program is an opportunity for transitioning service members to gain valuable civilian work experience through an individual internship during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days.

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of a 2-year technical degree and/or a certificate in machine shop technology.
• 2 years related machining experience, able to work with limited guidance in a team environment.
• 2+ years experience on 3 Axis CNC machines; 4 and 5 Axis experience is a plus.
• Experience running manual machines and performing set-ups.
• Ability to read and interpret production specifications, diagrams, assembly drawings, and technical specifications (English).
• Expert in GD&T.
• Ability to understand and work with knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to lift or move a minimum of 35-50 lbs. for up to 12 hours per day.

Salary Range: $49,900 - $83,100
