Northrop Grumman Defense Systems looking for a Principal / Sr. Principal Project Manager. This position can be located in Roy, UT or Manhattan Beach, CA .

What You'll Get To Do:

Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Control Account management responsibilities, inclusive of:
Top level IMS and task management, Cost accounting and control, EAC management, Jira stories management, QBDs, internal tools, BOEs, Risk Management, and Variance Analysis Reporting. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction

goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This role may offer relocation assistance.

Basic Qualifications:

Principal Project Management: 5 Years experience with Bachelors; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Year with PhD; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Sr Principal Project Management: 8 Years experience with Bachelors; 4 Years with Masters; 4 Year with PhD; or an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree

• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company to meet its business need

• High level of proficiency using Microsoft Office suite.

• Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Working knowledge of the following:
  Developing Statement of Work (SOW) and Supplier Data Requirement List packages (SDRL).Developing, Implementing and Updates on Project Schedules.

Preferred Qualifications:

• IBM Rationale DOORS software experience.

• Aerospace Manufacturing and/or Aerospace Engineering knowledge.

• Previous Project Management (or similar) knowledge/experience.

• Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience, ability to utilize them professionally.

• Practice in implementing Lean/Agile principles and methodologies.

• Request for Proposal (RFP) Planning.
