Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Command Systems Production Operations Manager Engineering
3. This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.

ResponsibilitiesThis position requires a comprehensive understanding of design and production, program management skills, proven strategic planning and business execution capabilities, as well as ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines. The position will be a key leadership role interfacing with Sentinel leadership staff in establishing & executing the baseline program plans. In addition, the candidate should be able to interact and influence executive level management and communicate effectively with both oral and written presentations.
The POM will provide operational focus (cost, quality, and schedule) for the Command Systems (CS) Production Operations effort. The POM is responsible for the overall operational performance for the lifecycle of the program starting with engineering & development, supporting Command and Launch Integration Facility (CLIF), and positioning for future production. The POM will have responsibility to ensure all operations aspects of the program from material procurement to finished product delivery are properly planned and executed in accordance with the Program Execution Plan.
This includes establishing needs and driving delivery of Engineering products and support as required to support the build schedule.
- Work in partnership with the Functional Teams and Program Leadership to define and execute the Production Operations statement of work in alignment with the customer SOWs
- Responsible for leading the team of the Manufacturing Engineering/Tooling, Industrial Engineering & Operations Project Management, Manufacturing Integration and Field Operations disciplines
- Key member of the CS Production Operations leadership team to help create the alignment with the division manufacturing strategy
- Develop and execute baseline program plan for Production Operations deliverables (e.g. Mfg. planning CDRLs, Master Build/Production Schedule, HW deliverables; etc.)
- Coordinate accurate and executable resource plans, work plans and associated Visibility Metrics aligned with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) & Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
- Develop program operations status and metrics on a regular basis and present to management and the customer, as applicable
- Ensure engineering structure (drawings and build documentation) are developed for manufacturability, efficiency, affordability and configured for incorporation into the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Material Resource Planning (MRP) systems

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and a minimum 8 years of aerospace manufacturing or related field;
Master's Degree with 6 years in a related field - Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need

- Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)

- Ability to travel 25% of the time
