Position: Sentinel - Mission Assurance Engineer level 2/3 (13514 19051)

Program Mission Assurance Engineer (Level 2 or
3)

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Program Mission Assurance (MA) Engineer – Level 2 or 3 – to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division. The position is located in Roy, UT and may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications.

Relocation Assistance

Relocation assistance may be available. Travel up to 10% of the time.

Clearance

No clearance required at the start of the assignment; U.S. citizenship is required and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance is mandatory.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Support MA functions to ensure mission success.
  • Conduct technical reviews of all GBSD drawings, SOWs, and requirements documents as required.
  • Perform or assure quality, risk management, safety, reliability, and maintainability of GBSD achievements.
  • Assess GBSD performance and risks, and determine resources to ensure mission assurance.
  • Assist the Program Quality Managers (PQM) with all GBSD Mission Assurance and Program Management requirements.
  • Support, develop, implement, and maintain the GBSD Program Quality Plans.
  • Support and facilitate GBSD program FRBs, ensuring root‑cause identification and corrective actions.
  • Assist PQM in preparation and execution of Program Preventive and Corrective Action Board (PCAB).
  • Develop and maintain GBSD Program Metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Program Management Review packages.
  • Support PQM with GBSD Customer Corrective Action Requests.
  • Support IPT MA & QE in Conditional Acceptance requirements and flow‑down.
  • Monitor timely closure of conditionally accepted hardware and work corrective actions with IPT MA & QEs.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree with 2 years of quality‑related experience, or Master’s Degree with 1 year of experience. (Principal level requires 5 years of experience with a BS degree or 3 years with a Master’s).
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience with basic quality engineering practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience with System Engineering requirements allocation and tools such as DOORS and CAMEO.
  • Experience with System Design Maturity Review milestone events such as CDR and IDR.
  • Experience developing and implementing Mission Assurance or Quality Assurance plans.
  • Experience with root‑cause corrective actions and MRB.
  • Experience working in manufacturing or laboratory environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.

Work Schedule & Compensation
  • Standard work schedule is 9/80 (nine‑hour days Monday–Thursday, every other Friday off).
  • Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 – $.
  • Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 – $.
  • Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and, for VP or Director positions, long‑term incentives.
