Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer or a Sr. Supplier Mission Assurance Engineer to join the Supplier Mission Assurance team in Utah. Candidates must live in Utah or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities- Conduct on-site major supplier surveillance.
- Ensure quality of products provided by suppliers.
- Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
- Assure supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
- Interface directly with supplier personnel, assess supplier quality and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct product and process verification activities, monitor supplier quality performance, and drive root‑cause corrective action analysis.
- Manage requests for waivers, deviations, and discrepancy reporting.
- Keep management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks.
- Coordinate and oversee Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.
- Engage in supplier evaluation, qualification, and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process and for new procurements on existing programs.

The position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A, allowing employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's of Science degree and 5+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree and 3+ years; or PhD with 1+ year.
- Bachelor's of Science degree and 8+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree and 6+ years; or PhD with 4+ years.
- Experience developing, planning, and/or implementing quality methods and strategies for procured items.
- Experience interfacing with suppliers, customers, work associates/teams, and/or management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing/engineering experience.
- Experience with AS9100/ISO
9001 requirements. - Ability to travel up to 25–50% of the time.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Must successfully be screened for Enhanced Security Clearances.
- Problem‑solving/critical thinking skills to support and resolve supply‑base issues.
- Lead auditor experience with AS9100/ISO
9001 standards. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive experience working with aerospace/defense industry suppliers onsite.
- Experience with special processes.
- Experience in root‑cause analysis and corrective action.
- Six Sigma or Lean certifications.
Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 – $.

Salary offers consider scope, responsibilities, and candidate qualifications. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions. Employees in VP or Director positions may receive Long‑Term Incentives.
