Prep Technician

Our client, a well-established and expanding automotive retailer, is seeking a professional Vehicle Preparation Technician to join their busy workshop in Leamington Spa. • Basic salary of up to £34,000 with an OTE of up to £40,000

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles, adhering to manufacturer standards
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
• Conduct visual inspections of vehicle interiors and exteriors to identify defects or issues
• Fit approved accessories and perform minor adjustments as required
• Complete all necessary documentation prior to vehicle handover
• Execute road tests to verify repairs and adjustments where applicable
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to high-quality standards

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or currently working towards this qualification)
• Full UK driving licence
• Proven mechanical skills and diagnostic ability
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Previous experience in a main dealer, independent garage, fast-fit centre, or similar environment is preferred
