Accounts Payable Specialist Opportunity

This is an on-site opportunity working with the GVS-RPB accounting team. This person will work alongside the general accountant doing general reporting and communicating with vendors. This person will be managing the month-end reports required for our owners and stockholders to view. This person will be working on-site at our headquarters in Royal Oak, MI.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs (Excel)
  • Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
  • Analyzing workflow processes
  • Processing due invoices for payments
  • Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
  • Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
  • Assist with creating the monthly closure reports
  • Maintain proper records of business transactions
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (mainly excel)
  • Journal/Data Entry Skills
  • Detail-Oriented
  • Analytical Skills
  • Problem-Solving Skills
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Economics
  • 2-5 years or more of Accounting experience (internship experience is permitted)
  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel and Word
  • Must be able to completely read, write and speak in English language
