We are seeking a highly motivated Marketing Manager with proven experience in architecture, construction, or engineering services near Royal Oak, MI. In this role, you will play a critical part in driving the organization’s growth by developing and executing marketing strategies, managing proposal processes, and collaborating closely with business development teams to identify and pursue new opportunities. This position offers the chance to work across multiple projects, influence marketing direction, and contribute directly to the company’s success in a professional services environment.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Own and execute the firm’s overall marketing strategy to support growth goals
- Lead the full proposal lifecycle — strategy, writing, coordination, design, and submission
- Drive go/no-go discussions and help prioritize pursuits with leadership
- Develop compelling, client-focused messaging tailored to each opportunity
- Partner closely with business development to identify target markets and growth opportunities
- Create and maintain proposal templates, content libraries, resumes, and project sheets
- Manage interview preparation, including presentation development and coaching
- Oversee brand consistency across proposals, collateral, and digital platforms
- Update and manage website content, social media, and email campaigns
- Track proposal metrics, win rates, and marketing KPIs to refine strategy
- Coordinate industry events, conferences, and award submissions
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities
- Balance high-level strategy with day-to-day execution in a fast-paced environment
- 4+ years of marketing or communications experience in architecture, construction, or engineering services
- Experience managing proposals and supporting business development
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
- Experience with creating marketing strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
- Familiarity with CRM, marketing automation, or proposal management tools
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
- Strong writing and presentation skills
