We are seeking a highly skilled and licensed Architect III to join a collaborative architectural
team supporting healthcare, institutional, and commercial projects. This role is designed for
an experienced architectural professional capable of independently leading technical
production efforts, managing project segments, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and
contributing as a senior technical resource throughout all phases of project delivery.
The Architect III will take ownership of assigned project scopes from schematic design
through construction administration while ensuring technical accuracy, coordination quality,
schedule adherence, and successful project execution. This role involves increasing
leadership responsibilities including consultant coordination, mentoring junior staff,
participating in client-facing meetings, and supporting construction administration activities
independently.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, advanced Revit proficiency, deep
understanding of building systems and codes, and the ability to manage complex project
coordination with minimal oversight. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to
independently resolve technical and coordination challenges while effectively communicating
with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and clients.

- Own assigned project segments from schematic design through construction documents with full accountability for technical accuracy, multidisciplinary coordination, documentation quality, and on-time project delivery.
- Lead multi-discipline coordination efforts with MEP, structural, civil, and specialty consultants; independently resolve technical conflicts and coordination issues while supporting overall project execution.

- Translate code analysis findings into practical design solutions, technical documentation, and coordinated project deliverables.
- Direct the day-to-day production efforts of Architect I and Architect II team members assigned to projects; conduct redline reviews and provide structured, actionable technical guidance and mentorship.
- Lead RFI review, submittal review, and construction administration coordination activities during the construction phase.
- Conduct site observations independently and prepare field reports documenting construction progress, deficiencies, and coordination issues.
- Represent the firm during:
- Client meetings
- OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings
- Consultant coordination meetings
- Technical review sessions
- Present design solutions, technical recommendations, and project updates with increasing authority and confidence.
- Author and review project specifications across multiple CSI divisions; support specification coordination and quality control efforts throughout project development.
- Identify project-related scope, schedule, coordination, and technical risks and communicate proactively with project leadership teams.
- Support quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all project documentation.
- Licensed Architect required — Michigan registration or confirmed reciprocity eligibility required.
- AIA membership and NCARB certification preferred.
- 8–18+ years of total architectural experience with at least 5+ years of post-licensure experience.
