Overview
Program Director – Nursing leads the Nursing Program at Baker College’s Royal Oak campus. The role drives academic excellence, strategic vision, and daily operations within the Health Division, ensuring alignment with Baker College's mission, objectives, and core values while fostering a student-centered environment. The Program Director cultivates a culture of compliance, collaboration, and integrity among faculty and students and partners with the academic dean and faculty to oversee program quality, curriculum assessment, instructional effectiveness, and ongoing success and impact.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Nursing Program to ensure academic excellence and alignment with institutional mission and values.
- Foster a student-centered academic environment and promote inclusion, engagement, and quality teaching practices.
- Cultivate a culture of compliance, collaboration, and integrity among faculty and students.
- Serve as a leader in nursing education matters and partner with the academic dean and faculty.
- Oversee program quality, curriculum assessment, instructional effectiveness, and the program’s ongoing success and impact.
- Master of Science in Nursing required;
Doctorate of Science in Nursing preferred. - Current, unencumbered Michigan Registered Nurse license and maintenance of BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and other internet-based applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
