Position Title: FP&A Analyst II

Location: Royal Oak, MI

Work Schedule: Hybrid - 4 days in office / 1 remote day

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with management across the company, including executives, to develop and report annual budgets, covering end-to-end P&L and HC budgeting.
• Work closely with managers to analyze and estimate the financial impact of potential opportunities in the sales pipeline.
• Perform monthly variance analysis at both the business unit and product levels.
• Report monthly actuals and variances to company management, aiding in the updating of monthly forecasts.
• Partner with the Accounting team to facilitate monthly close procedures.
• Aid in the creation and upkeep of monthly reporting for the Board of Directors and various entities.
• Lead process change projects, focusing on continuous process improvement and automation.
• Produce recurring and ad hoc reports for business segments, including profitability analyses.
• Model three financial statements for budget and forecast scenarios.
• Monitor operating expenses across multiple entities to ensure accuracy in actual, forecast, and budget scenarios.
• Manage simple and complex processes and projects simultaneously.
• Foster effective collaboration with individuals across departments and levels.
• Operate within tight deadlines with adept problem-solving skills.
• Make decisions independently, knowing when to seek assistance.
• Analyze and summarize data proficiently.
• Conceptualize and design systems and workflows effectively.

Required Experience:

• Possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, accompanied by relevant corporate finance experience.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills with both upper management and external departments.
• Display a strong grasp of financial reporting and GAAP.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Excel.
• Have experience with system conceptualization and design.
• Show strong project management skills.
• Utilize data-driven approaches to identify and solve problems.
• Experience with Hyperion/PBCS, Net Suite ERP, Power BI, Power Query, Workday, Alteryx, and Salesforce is advantageous.
