About the role

PIZZA & BEER is the latest venture from Eastern Market Brewing Co., proudly serving Detroit-style pizza and market-fresh beer. As part of the Elephant & Co. family, we’re growing—and we want you to be part of the story.

The Taproom Manager supports the daily flow and guest experience of the taproom while partnering closely with the Area General Manager. This role is not a people-management position and does not include direct reports. In this role you’ll help coordinate operations, assist with scheduling, and ensure the taproom runs smoothly during service.

This is a tipped, front-of-house leadership role focused on hospitality, operational execution, and team support.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the point person during shifts , helping coordinate service flow and addressing day-to-day operational needs.
  • Create memorable moments by engaging guests and delivering warm, genuine service.
  • Partner with the Area General Manager to support daily operations and ensure smooth service execution.
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage coordination, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
  • Oversee the taproom and patio during service to ensure spaces are clean, welcoming, and on-brand.
  • Support operational needs including cash handling, inventory checks, and adherence to SOPs.
  • Lead by example by preparing the space for opening and ensuring closing duties are completed properly.
  • Provide real-time guidance and support to team members to maintain a positive, collaborative environment.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently via email, text, and team channels.
  • Uphold all health, safety, and alcohol service standards.
Qualifications
  • Open availability, including weekends and ability to work morning or evening shifts.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence using available resources to make smart, in-the-moment decisions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for hospitality and teamwork.
