Hotel General Manager

We’re seeking a dynamic, experienced Full Service Hotel General Manager to lead operations, inspire a high‑performing team, and drive guest satisfaction at one of our premier properties in Royal Oak, MI area. What You’ll Do- Own the financial performance of the property—including revenue management, forecasting, payroll, purchasing, and profit goals
- Lead, coach, and support a team across all departments (Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, F&B, Sales)
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of all staff—building a culture rooted in service and accountability
- Ensure operational excellence in all areas: guest satisfaction, cleanliness, safety, brand compliance, and team performance
- Hold regular department meetings and champion open communication across all teams
- Proactively monitor local market trends and competitor strategies to stay ahead
- Address guest feedback swiftly, always turning challenges into five‑star experiences
- Partner with corporate and franchise teams to ensure all standards, reporting, and compliance requirements are met
- Proven experience in Full Service Hotel leadership (minimum 3–5 years in a GM or senior operations role)
- Strong financial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue and profit targets
- Experience managing large teams (10–250 employees) across multiple departments
- Deep understanding of hospitality brand standards, customer service excellence, and safety protocols
- A people‑first leadership style that empowers others and builds a lasting team culture
- Hands‑on, solutions‑oriented approach with a passion for guest satisfaction
