Sure Shot Logistics, a growing full-service freight brokerage based in Royal Oak, MI, is looking for a Director of Carrier Compliance & Procurement to join our team.
We’re seeking an experienced logistics professional with a background in freight, trucking, carrier relations, carrier vetting, or transportation procurement.
Responsibilities- Vet new and existing carriers to ensure they meet company safety and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate carrier profiles, documentation, and setup records
- Identify safe, qualified carrier capacity using current tools and innovative sourcing strategies
- Manage pricing for bids, RFQs, and customer opportunities
- Partner closely with the sales team to source reliable carrier capacity
- Provide timely follow-up and support throughout the carrier sourcing process
- Help strengthen and improve carrier procurement and compliance processes
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Experience in freight brokerage, logistics, trucking, carrier relations, compliance, or procurement
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent multitasking and time-management skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team
