Job SummaryUnder the direction of the nurse manager or other nursing leader, the assistant nurse manager has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and the nursing department and their effect on patient care in the department.
Position Requires- Weekend and holiday on-call (rotating)
- Quarterly weekend service line rounding
- 2-3 non Corewell Health observed holidays (Easter, Mothers Day, Halloween, etc.)
- 3 weekend shifts during 6 week scheduling period within weekend zone (3pm Friday through 7am Monday)
- Effective June 1, 2025, a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) is required.
- Two+ years of clinical experience required.
- Participation in leadership activities (Unit, hospital or system Shared Governance meetings, Precepting, Charge nurse role) preferred.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) required.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
