Job Overview

This RN Supervisor supports the nursing resource pool at William Beaumont University Hospital providing an opportunity to work with a diverse team of staff from RNs, NAs, and Sitters collaborating with different units throughout the hospital.

This is a night shift position consisting of 10‑hour shifts. Shift start times are flexible, with typical schedules of 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. or 11:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. The role also requires availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Scope of Work

The Nurse Supervisor coordinates and organizes personnel and other resources to meet the patient care functions of the organization, in a cost‑effective manner.

Collaborates to provide crisis management, interpret policy and procedure, and assure timely and effective communication and collaboration between individuals and departments.

The Nurse Supervisor represents the organizational leadership across all venues on a 24‑hour basis and collaborates to make decisions and act on behalf of the leadership team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required.
  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) Preferred.
  • Three years of relevant clinical nursing experience Required.
  • One year of relevant formal nursing leadership experience for external applicants Required.
  • One year of relevant demonstrated informal leadership experience for internal applicants, may include but are not limited to:
    Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership on behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council, Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required.
