The Clinical Nurse Manager will lead 6NE, a high-acuity Medical Progressive Care Unit that cares for a diverse patient population with complex cardiac, respiratory, renal, gastrointestinal, and sepsis-related conditions. This specialized unit provides an elevated level of care for patients requiring continuous cardiac and physiologic monitoring, advanced respiratory support, and frequent nursing assessment and intervention. Approximately 25% of patients require advanced respiratory support, including High-Flow Nasal Cannula, BiPAP, or CPAP therapy.

The team also manages a variety of vasoactive medications and continuous infusions requiring close monitoring and provides specialized renal care, including Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD). As the leader of this dynamic team, the Clinical Nurse Manager will promote clinical excellence, operational effectiveness, quality outcomes, patient safety, employee engagement, and professional development. The Clinical Nurse Manager is an experienced leader responsible for managing assigned areas and services and supervising assigned patient care staff to promote the creation of a center of excellence for staff recruitment and retention and clinical and business outcomes. The Nurse Manager is responsible to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care and clinical outcomes, compliance with regulatory, administrative and clinical standards, and policies and procedures.

The Nurse Manager serves as a chief retention and safety officer. He/she ensures that safety and quality standards are upheld by effective use of data and technology to make decisions and proactively mitigates unnecessary risks for his/her area of responsibility.
