PositionSummary
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of a store’s inventory. The role requires 20–30 hours per week and focuses on ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time while delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Receive and process purchase orders from Ace and non‑Ace vendors.
- Report inventory discrepancies, including over/short and damage, and investigate causes.
- Coordinate with the freight captain for proper receiving and replenishment.
- Research out‑of‑stock items by scanning locations and determine corrective actions.
- Use Mango reports and programs plus daily cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Follow defective merchandise procedures to secure credits.
- Review inventory discrepancies to identify root causes and adjust counts as needed.
- Oversee price changes, location code integrity, inventory levels, and adjustments.
- Coordinate store preparation for periodic full‑store physical inventories.
- Participate in Inventory Coordinator training and share knowledge with other associates.
- Work with Store Support Center departments to establish proper inventory controls.
- Partner with management to report issues and propose solutions.
- Perform all other inventory functions as assigned by management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑starter with strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to research and identify root causes of inventory discrepancies.
- Retail store experience preferred.
$15.50 per hour.
